Position: Bilingual Communications Specialist

Location: Toronto, Hybrid (2+ in-office days/week)
Reports To: Manager, Public Relations
Our client is seeking a Bilingual Communications Specialist to lead French-language communications and PR initiatives, helping to strengthen their presence in Quebec and support cross-functional goals. This role blends strategy, creativity, and execution to produce compelling and high-quality content that engages francophone audiences.
You’ll write, edit, and manage a variety of French-language materials—ranging from marketing collateral and member communications to event scripts and press releases. You’ll help maintain the French broadcast email calendar, support social media efforts, contribute to web content, and advise on messaging strategies across departments.
You’ll also lead or support communication projects, oversee the translation process, and act as a French communications advisor within the organization. A strong understanding of Quebec media and cultural context, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential.
Qualifications:
Degree in Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations
3–5 years of experience in a French or bilingual communications role
Exceptional writing and editing skills in French
Bilingual (English/French) proficiency required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of CMS, social media tools, or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
Work Environment:
Hybrid work model with two required in-office days (Monday and Wednesday)
Some travel and occasional overtime during peak periods
