About Our Client

Our client, located in the midtown Toronto area, is a public accounting firm looking for an Assurance Manager, to join their team! Assurance Manager tasks will follow:

Responsibilities
  • Managing and overseeing the completion of annual working papers including year-end adjusting journal entries for audit, review, and NTR compilation engagements
  • Review and execute Financial Statements properly
  • Review and execute of T1, T2 and T3 tax returns
  • Lead and mentor junior staff
  • Other ad-hoc duties are required
Qualifications
  • 4-5+ years of small to medium size public accounting experience including audit, review, compilation, and tax experience
  • 1 year or more of experience in an Audit and Assurance managerial role
  • CPA-designated
  • Experience managing a team in the public accounting space is an asset
  • Experienced with ASPE, ASNFPO, and Canadian income taxation
  • Self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with various stakeholders
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to juggle multiple deadlines and engagements
