About Our Client

Our client, located in Vaughan, is hiring an energetic and operationally-minded Assistant Controller to join their team.


Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
  • Prepare and evaluate forecasts and budgets
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
  • Provide recommendations
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
  • Meet financial accounting objectives
  • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
Qualifications
  • CPA designation
  • Minimum 3+ years of progressive experience
  • Demonstrated effective leadership skills
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, and easily adaptive to change in a fast-paced environment
