About Our Client:
Our client, located in North York, is seeking a Billing Clerk for an ongoing contract with a possibility to become permanent.
Responsibilities:
- Enter OHIP claims accurately and efficiently while following the direction of the Claims Administration Team Leader. This position has the opportunity to advance to a Client Care role within the company
- Complete daily processing of OHIP claims, double-checking claims and correcting any errors
- Review monthly OHIP payment files
- Closely follow the Ministry of Health's Schedule of Benefits to ensure billing accuracy and to find missed billing opportunities
- Communicate client errors and missed billing opportunities to the Account Managers
- Other duties as assigned, including client care account management
Qualifications:
- Diploma in medical office administration, business administration, or accounting is an asset
- Minimum one year in medical office administration or related field (accounting, banking, insurance, or similar), focused on accurate data administration.
- Previous OHIP billing administration experience is an asset
- Client Care Account Management experience is an asset
