Our client is seeking an experience Bilingual Project Manager to join their team on a 6 month contract. Reporting to the Director of Negotiations, Research and Pay Equity, the Project Manager – Negotiations, Research & Pay Equity plays a central role in organizing and advancing a portfolio of complex, deadline-driven initiatives. This position is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end coordination of projects that support collective bargaining activities, including research, training, essential services planning, and campaign initiatives. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and forward-thinking professional who ensures projects are delivered efficiently, collaboratively, and on schedule.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive project plans, establishing timelines, priorities, and milestones to support bargaining cycles and research projects.
  • Coordinate activities across internal teams to promote alignment, collaboration, and timely execution of shared objectives.
  • Facilitate regular meetings, document outcomes, and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
  • Track project progress against plans, evaluate performance, identify obstacles, and implement timely adjustments while respecting budget parameters.
  • Design and maintain systems to monitor union leave and other bargaining-related expenditures.
  • Prepare clear status reports and briefing materials for senior leadership, highlighting progress, risks, dependencies, and key achievements.
  • Identify potential project risks early and recommend practical mitigation strategies to maintain momentum and meet deadlines.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements that increase operational efficiency and streamline workflows.
  • Maintain accurate and accessible project documentation, including plans, records of decisions, and performance indicators.
  • Manage multiple concurrent priorities to ensure deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of bargaining preparation activities.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

The ideal candidate i
s a certified project management professional (PMP) with several years of experience coordinating or leading projects, ideally within a union or public sector setting. You will bring strong organizational and time-management abilities, paired with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to seeing projects through to completion. Fully bilingual in English & French, you communicate clearly and build strong working relationships across varying teams. You have proven analytical skills, resourcefulness, and calm under pressure, with the ability to motivate others and maintain momentum in fast-paced environments. You are proficient with project management software, such as Asana, and Microsoft Office tools, and possess a solid understanding of labour relations, collective bargaining, and the unique political and organizational context of a unionized workplace. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered.

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams under tight deadlines while maintaining clear, professional communication.
