About Our Client

Our client is a well-established contracting company based in Chilliwack, operating in a specialized construction and blasting environment. They are known for their strong safety culture, regulatory compliance, and collaborative team approach. With multiple active projects underway, they are currently looking to hire a Project Administrator to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional seeking long-term stability and growth within a dynamic organization.

  • Location: Chilliwack, BC
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Work Arrangement: Fully in-office (5 days per week)
  • Salary: $55,000 – $62,000

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Coordinate monthly internal meetings with administrative and project teams; document discussions for record-keeping and reference.
  • Prepare and submit reports to clients in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage explosives inventory tracking, ordering, and system updates.
  • Maintain familiarity with regulatory requirements related to blasting, explosive storage, handling, and transportation.
  • Oversee explosives licensing and storage location documentation and compliance.
  • Maintain corporate document control, including creating, updating, and organizing templates for company-wide use.
  • Manage multiple email accounts and ensure timely forwarding and follow-up of communications.
  • Assist with organizing and maintaining project-related documentation, including certifications, onboarding records, scheduling, resource coordination, inventory tracking, and production tracking.
  • Stay informed on current company projects and work closely with project administrators to support operations, submittal requirements, and resource tracking.
  • Coordinate equipment moves, material deliveries, and resource allocations under management direction.
  • Create and track internal and external correspondence.
  • Assist in the preparation of Project Quality Management Plans (QMPs), Execution Plans, project schedules, and look-ahead plans.
  • Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements as required.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in an HR office environment
  • Previous experience in a project administration, project coordination, or construction administration role.
  • Strong understanding of document control and regulatory compliance processes.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable managing multiple communication platforms.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge or experience in construction, civil works, or blasting environments is considered an asset.
