Job Description

We are seeking an experienced AR Accountant to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is primarily focused on accounts receivable, credit, and collections, with the balance supporting general accounting and bookkeeping activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working onsite with cross-functional teams. This is a great opportunity for an AR-focused accounting professional looking to take ownership of the receivables function while contributing to broader accounting activities.

Full-time, 5 days onsite

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounts receivable, including invoicing, cash application, and account reconciliations
  • Lead credit assessments and monitor customer credit limits and risk exposure
  • Drive collections efforts, following up on overdue accounts and resolving discrepancies
  • Investigate and resolve billing issues in collaboration with sales and operations
  • Maintain accurate AR aging and provide regular reporting on receivables performance
  • Support the month-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations
  • Assist with general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, and bookkeeping tasks
  • Contribute to process improvements and support audit requests as needed

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of AR and general accounting experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of credit and collections processes
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage internal and external relationships
