Our client, located in Ajax is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist for their accounting team on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities
- Support the internal accounting team with reconciliations
- Record liabilities for coinciding organizations for both miscellaneous and inventory invoices
- Responsible for the preparation of invoices processed through scanners
- Prepare monthly reconciliations for accounts
- Prepare journal entries and collect approvals according to the internal system
- Prepare documents related to miscellaneous inventory products and services that concern the affiliated organizations
- Support the internal program team in all administrative duties as required
- All other related duties
Qualifications
- University Degree or College Diploma in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years of working experience in a corporate team environment
- Pursuing a professional accounting designation
- Intermediate computing skills, specifically with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Must be able to work effectively within a high-paced team in a positive manner
- Excellent attention to detail
- Must have excellent multitasking skills and be able to manage large volumes of tasks
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills via telephone and email
