About Our Client:

Our client, is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable department. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong leadership abilities, hands-on AP experience, and a passion for process improvement within a dynamic, service-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of Accounts Payable professionals, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Oversee the end-to-end AP process, including invoice processing, purchase orders, employee reimbursements, and EFT payments.
  • Administer and maintain the corporate P-Card program, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and internal controls.
  • Support month-end close activities and ensure proper reconciliation of AP and PO subledgers.
  • Develop, implement, and enhance AP policies, procedures, and internal controls to drive operational excellence.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Procurement, and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and streamline processes.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive Accounts Payable experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of AP best practices, controls, and workflow automation.
  • Previous Public Sector experience will prove an asset.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis).
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
