Job Description

Our client, a leading tier 1 manufacturer, is seeking a hands-on AP Supervisor to oversee accounts payable operations while contributing to treasury activities. This role offers the chance to manage a small team, streamline AP processes, and partner with finance leadership to optimize cash flow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily AP operations, including vendor management, invoice processing, reconciliations, and payment runs

  • Manage payments (wires, foreign exhange, cheques, EFT) while ensuring accuracy, compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX, and internal controls

  • Oversee treasury-related tasks including payment scheduling, weekly cash forecasting, monitoring liquidity, and supporting intercompany netting

  • Partner with Treasury to optimize working capital and support banking relationships

  • Prepare AP-related journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for month/quarter/year-end close

  • Lead process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and support external/internal audits

  • Mentor and develop AP staff, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company policies

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive AP experience, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (designation a plus)

  • Strong treasury exposure within AP (cash forecasting, payment scheduling, bank reporting)

  • SAP experience in a manufacturing environment (required)

  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, multi-sheet workbooks)

  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and work cross-functionally
