With tremendous growth through the housing boom and retirement community growth, our client is needs help in their accounting department for a few months to cover a leave.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team on a temporary basis. This role involves working within the dynamic and fast-paced property management and construction industry, managing multiple platforms and ensuring seamless financial processes. In this role, you will process and verify invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies, reconcile vendor statements, and promptly resolve discrepancies. You will also manage data across multiple accounting platforms, prepare and process payment runs, and assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable. You will be used to a high volume of AP transactions and be able to move smoothly between accounting platforms. Collaboration with team members to streamline processes and effective communication with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to address inquiries and resolve issues will be key responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role, preferably in the property management or construction industry. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, are essential. Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Yardi, or similar platforms, along with familiarity with property management or construction-related systems, will be an asset. Versatility to accounting software will be needed. You should be a quick learner, comfortable working with multiple digital platforms, and willing to work on site is expected.
