This amazing company is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their amazing finance group.
The Role of the Accounts Payable Clerk involves providing financial, administrative and clerical support to the VP and CFO and accounting group. This opportunity requires someone to complete payments and control expenses by receiving payments, plus processing, verifying and reconciling invoices. The AP Clerk will reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances. The AP clerk will receive, review and code expense reports and prepare cheques. You will be expected to maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions and reviewing intercompany allocations. As part of the larger accounting team, your role will also include supporting the property management and brokerage team in coordinating cheque runs and cash management related to disbursements. You may also be required to assist with the front desk reception coverage periodically.
The Ideal Candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of full cycle accounts payable experience. You will be able to demonstrate an exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when processing AP. You will have worked with a high volume of transactions and are accustomed to applying due diligence to the AP process. We are seeking someone who can work at a fast pace and juggle multiple priorities and multi-task. You will bring a sense of maturity and autonomy to this role and be self driven and accountable for your tasks. Strong understanding of Excel and financial systems to be able to adapt to new processes and technology is expected. You will be working with a strong team of motivated people. You strong work ethic, initiative and willingness to help out to meet deadlines will be required.
