Junior Accounting Clerk

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and positive Junior Accounting Clerk to join their Finance team in a fully onsite position. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this individual will support day-to-day transactional accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payments, postings, and general accounting support. This is a temporary opportunity with a potential to become full time for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Support daily AP (80%) and AR functions
• Perform bank reconciliations and bookkeeping duties
• Process payments and accounting postings
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Assist with data entry and transactional accounting tasks
• Support the Finance team with administrative and ad hoc duties as needed

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of accounting clerk, bookkeeping, or AP/AR experience preferred
• Recent graduates must possess formal accounting education
• Candidates with 3–4 years of relevant experience strongly considered, with preference given to those with accounting education
• Experience using Sage and/or Microsoft Dynamics considered an asset
• Intermediate Excel skills including formulas, VLOOKUPs, and pivot tables
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Positive attitude with a team-player mentality
• Willingness to support wherever needed in a collaborative environment
