Job Description

Our client, a non-for-profit organization located near Yorkville is looking to hire an Accounting & Administration Manager to join their team to lead the month-end close and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the month-end close process.
  • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages.
  • Lead in the maintenance of the organization’s general ledger and accounting processes
  • Handle transactions related to the both accounts payable and receivable, oversee payroll operations, complete bank reconciliations and manage fixed assets, including depreciation and amortization.
  • Supports the creation of grant proposals and collaborates with project coordinators and leaders to provide financial oversight, ensuring adherence to grant requirements and the organization's financial policies.
  • Prepares financial statements and supporting schedules for reports and other project initiatives as may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance or Business with a minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience,
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel and QuickBooks
  • Detail oriented, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
