About Our Client

Our client, located in the midtown Toronto area, is a public accounting firm looking for an Accounting Technician to join their team! The Accounting Technician, tasks will follow:

Responsibilities

  • Complete working paper files for compilation, review and audits including all required forms, adjusting journal entries and draft financial statements
  • Prepare T1s, T2s, T3s, T4s, T5s, GST/HST returns and partnership returns (T5013)
  • Bookkeeping with software packages such as Quickbooks and Simply Accounting
  • Provide support to clients on general questions regarding year end and bookkeeping issues
  • Research tax issues and deal with CRA on client matters
  • Willingness to take on various tasks and manage a number of assignments at any one time
  • Desire to work on a variety of client industries
  • Strong organizational skills
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of progressive public accounting experience
  • Experience using Tax Prep, Caseware, QuickBooks, or any other familiar finance software in the public accounting space
  • Self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with various stakeholders
