Our client, located in Vaughan, is hiring an Accounting Supervisor to add to their team on a permanent basis.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for supervising all aspects of the monthly forecasting, monthly and quarterly variance analysis of actuals to forecasts and budgets, and annual budget preparation
- Supervise and/or prepare reports to support external financial reporting
- Prepare monthly entries, maintain, and perform analysis for various accounts, and work closely with external and internal auditors on internal control questions, issues, and deficiencies
- Monthly analysis and reporting of certain accounts, including monthly and quarterly reporting
- Assist with budget preparation
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- CPA Accounting Designation
- Strong technical accounting skills and costing
- Minimum of 5 years of previous accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with large ERP systems
- Experience in a Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) reporting environment
- Experience with corporate reporting requirements, external/internal audits
- Strong communication, active listening, and influencing skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to embrace and encourage teamwork
