About Our Client: Our client a premier distributor of food products is seeking a talented Specialist in Accounts Payable. The candidate who demonstrates experience in a high-pace and volume environment coupled with a great attitude/aptitude will join a well-developed and collaborative Accounts Payable team!
Responsibilities:
- Full cycle Accounts Payable duties including 3-way matching and assisting with month-end close duties
- Preparing payments and ensuring they are in accordance with schedules and terms
- Process up to 100 invoices a day with accuracy and efficiency
- Reconcile AP transactions to vendor statements
- Filing and other administrative duties
- Corresponding with various departments and their respective Managers to collect relevant information
- Support and backup for Credit and Accounts Receivable responsibilities primarily to maintain
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Recent post-secondary degree/diploma in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of overall experience preferably in the Accounts Payable function with sound exposure to Accounts Receivables
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with comfort in speaking with Senior Leadership
- Positive and collaborative attitude; must be willing to work closely with the team and make valuable contributions when necessary
- Intermediate MS Excel skills
- Experience with MS Dynamics Great Plains is a strong asset
- Experience in the high SKU environment will be essential to perform
