A leading Manufacturing and Distribution organization is currently recruiting for a talented Controller (Plants) to join their team. Responsibilities

The primary focus of the Controller will be to administer appropriate controls over the accounting operation to ensure costs are monitored and to prepare necessary reports for management to make informed financial decisions. The Controller readies and maintains financial and business transactions, applies accounting principles, and has a solid understanding of both accounting theory and practice.

The main responsibilities for this role would include, but are not limited to;

• Supports the Plant Manager in ensuring that all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and related schedules/analysis are produced on time and in accordance with SOX, GAAP, and corporate policies
• Month-end closing activities related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Costing, Inventories, and general accounting
• Assists in implementing and maintaining adequate internal controls throughout the operation.
• Coordinates for Finance the semi-annual physical inventory and monthly inventory cycle counts.
• This role will work closely with the Accounting team and report to the Plant Manager

• Must possess 5+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience in a management role
• Strong operational accounting, costing and physical inventory experience
• Designated CPA (CMA/CGA/CA)
• Multi-legacy system environment with advanced Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this highly interactive role
