Our client, a long-standing, family-run business in Little Italy since 1945, is known for its extensive product selection, hands-on ownership, and stable work environment—and is now expanding its accounting team due to recent growth.

Our client, an established and entrepreneurial real estate firm, is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to support the Controller within their property management division. This role will oversee full-cycle accounting for a portfolio that includes 20 commercial tenants and under 100 residential tenants. The successful candidate will be responsible for cash management, financial reporting, and month/year-end close processes across multiple entities. You will prepare financial statements, manage complex reconciliations, and partner closely with property managers on budgeting and variance analysis. This is a hands-on role that requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work with auditors, bankers, and vendors, and a proactive approach to improving processes in a collaborative, family-oriented environment.

The Ideal Candidate:
You bring at least 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience, ideally within a commercial or residential real estate setting. A B.Comm or related post-secondary education is required; CPA in progress is an asset. You have a solid grasp of intercompany transactions, are confident managing multiple sets of books, and are skilled in both manual and automated systems. Proficiency in Excel is essential, as is the maturity to support leadership and mentor junior staff.
