Position Title: Bookkeeper

Our client is a well-established non-profit, membership based organization, that is seeking some financial support. We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated temporary Bookkeeper to support the organization’s accounting team by assisting with the accuracy of the financial records and transactions. We are looking for a strong accounting professional, who can help support the accounting team for approximately 6 months, to assist with essential accounting functions for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Record-Keeping:

• Record all financial transactions, including income, expenses, and grants
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts.
• Prepare and analyze all bank and account reconciliations
• Maintain meticulous records for audits and tax filings.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

• Process invoices and payments in a timely manner.
• Track incoming donations, grants, and other revenue streams.
• Follow up on outstanding receivables.

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and assist in annual audits as needed.
• Provide financial data to aid in grant reporting and funding proposals.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in transactional accounting and bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of various financial applications such as QuickBooks, or similar platforms. You will bring a minimum of 3+ years working in full cycle bookkeeping and are readily available for temporary work. You are detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in all financial records, and thrive working in a team environment amongst your peers. With excellent communication skills, the Bookkeeper will know how to take direction effectively while also asking insightful questions to clarify tasks and improve processes. You will approach your work with a collaborative mindset and won’t be afraid to "get into the weeds" to solve complex issues and thrives in a hands-on environment where precision and teamwork are key to success. Mus be willing to work on site to foster team spirit and learn from those around you.
