About Our Client
Our client, an industry leader, is looking to add a stand-alone Payroll Manager to prepare and close off the year end payroll function. This is a 3-6 month contract position. This Payroll Manager will oversee end-to-end payroll and compliance in ADP WFN
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end Canadian payroll processing, including calculations, deductions and issuing T4s.
- Produce payroll reports.
- Support HR with data validation
- Conduct payroll audits to ensure compliance with local regulatory state laws, tax regulations and statutory requirements as it pertains to year end
- Process new hires, terminations, promotions and other status changes in the payroll system, ensuring accuracy and discrepancy resolution
Qualifications & Skills
- Payroll certification PCP/PLP, an asset
- 5+ years of experience managing and owning payroll and compliance
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian payroll processes, labor laws, taxation and statutory compliance and issuing T4s
- Ideally experienced with ADP WFN and experience implementing and managing payroll systems.
- A team player with a strong sense of accountability and accuracy
