We’re hiring a Accountant for a well-established construction and aggregates company. This hybrid role is based in Simcoe County and includes weekly travel to nearby operational sites. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you'll support both finance and operations with hands-on accounting and analysis. This role is 5 days in the office for the first 3+ months, then hybrid.
Prepare journal entries and assist with month/quarter/year-end close
Manage HST/GST filings and corporate tax remittances
Support operations with financial reporting and analysis
Reconcile sales and ensure accurate coding
Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules
Review AP coding and account reconciliations
Assist with audit preparation and Stats Canada reporting
Diploma or degree in Accounting (minimum high school required)
2–3 years’ experience in accounting, ideally in construction or operations
Strong Excel skills and working knowledge of accounting principles
Valid G-class driver’s license and clean abstract (travel required)
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
CPA enrollment a plus, but not required
