About Our Client:

Our client is seeking a professional Accounting Coordinator with a minimum of 2 years background working in an accounting or finance environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working in Real Estate Development or Construction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and review invoices of any discrepancies and file accurately in reference to payment schedules
  • Approving cost codes and expenses
  • Oversee bank accounts, statements and research
  • Distribute payments and schedule recurring cheque runs as required
  • Organize corporate credit card activities and reviewing invoice to cheques
  • Track required signatures and statuses for specific cheques
  • Perform wire transfers and online payments as required
  • Entering cheques's data in the system
  • Manage and process mailing for vendor cheques
  • Address any creditor or vendor's questions or further inquiries regarding bills
  • Collaborate with other departments regarding vendor and trade insurance
  • Support with accounting setup and banking documents

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree, Diploma or Certificate in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Presently enrolled or plans to enroll in the CPA PEP Program
  • Minimum of 2 years background working in an accounting or finance environment
  • Background working in Real Estate Development or Construction (ideal)
  • Detail oriented, professional and organized
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player
  • Strong communication skills- both oral and written
