Job Description

A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Accountant to support day-to-day accounting and office operations. This role will work closely with the General Accountant and play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, payroll processing, accounts payable, and administrative coordination within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice entry, vendor reconciliations, and payment preparation
  • Support payroll processing for approximately 20 employees, including union and temporary staff
  • Maintain accurate employee records, timesheets, payroll deductions, and related documentation
  • Assist with bookkeeping functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger support
  • Support month-end activities alongside the General Accountant
  • Utilize the company’s in-house ERP system for accounting and operational transactions
  • Perform general office administration duties, including filing, correspondence, data entry, and supply coordination
  • Communicate with vendors, employees, and external service providers as needed
  • Assist with maintaining organized financial and payroll records for audit and compliance purposes

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing
  • Experience processing payroll, including union payroll exposure, preferred
  • Strong understanding of AP, reconciliations, and general bookkeeping principles
  • Comfortable working within ERP systems; ability to learn proprietary systems quickly
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable, collaborative, and comfortable working in an on-site environment
