Our client, located in Mississauga, is seeking an Accountant for a permanent opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Manager Accounts Receivable, Payable, and Purchasing department
- Review all accounting analysis prepared by the analysts
- Review GL transactions and ensure accurate accounting data for adherence to company policies
- Review financial & consolidation reports on actual operational results
- Review audit data as prepared by Financial Analysts
- Assist and direct auditors to appropriate operational sources
- Assist with any audit issues that may arise in audits
- Review and Identify operational weaknesses to improve the company’s operations
- Assist and plan continuous development of accounting staff
- Other tasks as required
Qualifications
- A professional accounting degree or diploma
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated and content with easily adaptive to change in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and QuickBooks
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role in a small to medium-sized light industrial service business
