About Our Client

Our client, a leading commercial fleet services $ electrification company, is currently looking for a Red Seal Automotive Technician to join their dynamic team in Burnaby on a full-time permanent basis. The shifts run from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. This is a great chance for someone with the right skills to get in with an innovative company -- apply today!

Responsibilities

• Performing work specified on the repair order with efficiency according to the company standards
• Testing components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning
• learning new technical information, equipment, tools, and repair techniques
• Communicating directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed
• Recording findings so that repair costs are accurately estimated
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must have Journeyperson/Red Seal Automotive Technician with 2 + years experience
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
• Knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must have a valid BC driver’s license
• Ability to identify problems quickly
• Ability to learn new technology, repair, and service procedures, and specifications
• Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
