About Our Client

Our client is a well-established company based in Agassiz, BC, operating within the construction materials and aggregate industry. They are currently seeking a Temporary Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team on a short-term basis to provide vacation coverage for a key team member. This is a great opportunity for an experienced AP professional who is comfortable stepping into a fast-paced environment and contributing immediately.

• Location: Agassiz, BC
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Work Arrangement: Fully in-office (5 days per week)
• Start Date: March 9, 2026 (March 11 at the latest)
• End Date: March 20, 2026
• Pay Rate: $22 – $25 per hour

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Perform full-cycle accounts payable duties
• Process and enter vendor invoices accurately into Sage 50
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation
• Prepare and process payments in accordance with company procedures
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice inquiries
• Assist with general accounting and administrative tasks as required

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the Accounts Payable role
• Proficiency with Sage 50 accounting software is required
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
• Ability to quickly adapt and provide immediate support in a team environment
